For many people, British Gas is the only name to trust for all things gas-related. As well as supplying millions of UK households with gas and electricity, British Gas employs thousands of Gas Safe registered central heating engineers. Through its nation-wide network of experts, British Gas offers services including new boiler and central heating system installations, gas boiler servicing and emergency boiler and central heating repairs.

British Gas offers both insurance and service-based products under the British Gas HomeCare umbrella. HomeCare offers four different levels of protection against boiler and central heating related problems, all of which include an annual boiler safety check and service as standard. It's also possible to buy just boiler insurance cover or central heating insurance cover from British Gas, although neither of these products includes a boiler service.

British Gas HomeCare prices start from the equivalent of around 35p per day, which includes an annual boiler service and year round access to Gas Safe registered central heating engineers in case of need.

When buying British Gas HomeCare, you can choose between standard and Flexi versions at each level. With HomeCare Flexi, customers pay a lower monthly charge plus a fixed cost of £50 per completed repair. The standard versions cost more per month, but with nothing extra to pay in the event of needing a repair.
